Bladder botox injection involves injection of Botulinum Type-A toxin into the bladder to decrease muscle contractions. This can then reduce the urgent need to urinate, the number of urinations in a day, and decrease urine leakage episodes.

Botox can be administered into the bladder during a simple office procedure called cystoscopy. It is done with local numbing lubricant applied to the bladder, and can be performed in about 3 minutes, with no down time.

Results take effect within 2-3 days, and can last between 3-12 months.
